1954 The Historical Crime is a new Bengali web series on the Fridaay app created by Sayantan Mukherjee, who also directed it, with Rudranil Ghosh and Sourav Das in the lead roles. It is based on a true story about a brutal murder in Kolkata that shocked the city. Rudranil Ghosh portrays a determined detective from the Lalbazar Police Station, while Sourav Das is the main antagonist. The series is presented by Rupa Datta and began streaming on Fridaay during this years Durga Puja season.
